Literal gloss of the Latin (X.9–10)
The boys Frumentius and Aedesius, taken from a captured ship, were brought to the king of the Axumites… Frumentius, given charge of the royal records, sought out the Roman merchants who were Christians and urged them to establish places of prayer. So the seed of Christians arose in India's inner parts.
