Who Justus of Jerusalem was
Third in the line of the Hebrew bishops of Jerusalem after James and Symeon — “a Jew, one of the countless myriads of the circumcision who by that time believed in Christ,” Eusebius says of the whole succession. Of Justus himself only the name and the office survive; Eusebius candidly admits the chronology of these bishops was nowhere preserved, “for tradition says that they were all short-lived.”
