Who Cittinus of Scillium was
One of the Scillitan twelve, who answered the proconsul’s appeal to fear the emperor with the confession that the martyrs feared only God: “We have none other to fear save only our Lord God, who is in heaven.” A bare name and a single sentence in the earliest Latin martyr-act, beheaded at Carthage with his companions.
