A Gothic priest whom Sabbas set out to visit at the time of Easter 372 — turned back on the road by a vision, according to the Passion, and taken by the soldiers three days later at Sansalas’ house instead. He is the third named member of the Gothic clergy and exists only in this sentence.
Named once, in the Passion of St Sabbas the Goth — a letter written within months of the events of April 372; no other ancient source names him.
