Who Khad was
Country bishop and deputy to Nerses the Great, left in charge of the Armenian church while Nerses was in exile or absent at court. The Epic Histories present him as the model of the working pastor against the politics of the great houses — which is the kind of figure the archive holds very little of anywhere.
Named in the fifth-century Armenian sources only — late attestation for a fourth-century figure, on the same footing as Gregory, Trdat and Nerses in this archive.
